Economics: A Quiet Passion

In 1962 I took an Economic Geography class from Br. John Joseph at Aquinas High School (Augusta, GA). That was the beginning of a lifelong interest in Economics. Unbeknownst to me at the time, that course was outside the mainstream of economic thought and started me down the road of considering what has since become Heterodox or Pluralist Economics. This portion of Banyan Tree Consulting is about a passion.

Here find links to different ways to consider economics. The mainstream has show it is not up to the challenge of meeting the goals we have for our economies. Never-ending growth in GDP, low inflation, and low unemployment based on free markets are not the entirety of economics.
